| Requirements and Responsibilities For Health Insurance Service Operations Supervisor |
| Supervises the team responsible for handling inquiries and operational transactions that support the administration of health insurance services. Supports daily health insurance service operations by answering inquiries regarding policies, coverage, eligibility, and other plan provisions. Handles escalated service inquiries regarding policies or claims and ensures client satisfaction. Monitors performance of each service area, including but not limited to account implementation, client support, claim processing, and enrollment and eligibility. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
