| Requirements and Responsibilities For Health Insurance Service Operations Director |
| Directs and oversees the team responsible for handling inquiries and operational transactions that support the administration of health insurance services. Monitors the daily health insurance service operations. Handles escalated service inquiries regarding policies or claims and ensures client satisfaction. Monitors performance of each service area, including but not limited to account implementation, client support, claim processing, and enrollment and eligibility. Maintains deep knowledge of health insurance operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
