| Requirements and Responsibilities For Health Insurance Service Operations Manager |
| Manages the team responsible for handling inquiries and operational transactions that support the administration of health insurance services. Monitors and supports daily health insurance service operations by answering inquiries regarding policies, coverage, eligibility, and other plan provisions. Handles escalated service inquiries regarding policies or claims and ensures client satisfaction. Monitors performance of each service area, including but not limited to account implementation, client support, claim processing, and enrollment and eligibility. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
