| Requirements and Responsibilities For Sales Manager - Medicare Products |
| Manages Medicare product sales activities and sales teams to support enrollment growth, retention, and market expansion for Medicare-related insurance products. Develops sales plans, territory strategies, and outreach initiatives targeting Medicare-eligible individuals, brokers, and community partners. Oversees training, coaching, and performance management activities for Medicare sales representatives to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and organizational standards. Evaluates sales performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends to improve sales effectiveness and customer acquisition strategies. Collaborates with marketing, compliance, and product management teams to support product positioning, enrollment campaigns, and regulatory adherence. Ensures all sales activities comply with CMS regulations, state licensing requirements, and internal compliance policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires AHIP Medicare Sales Certification. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
