| Requirements and Responsibilities For Managed Care Pharmacy Technician |
| Responsible for assisting in managed care pharmacy operations. Reviews and processes pharmacy benefit transactions, verifying accuracy and completeness of clinical and administrative information. Processes and coordinates pharmacy prior authorization requests. Assists in the administration of pharmacy appeals by gathering documentation, tracking case status, and ensuring timely resolution in compliance with regulatory timeframes. Typically requires an associate degree. May require applicable license and/or certification. Typically reports to a manager. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. |
