| Requirements and Responsibilities For Underwriter III - P&C |
| Responsible for reviewing and analyzing property and casualty (P&C) insurance applications. Evaluates and analyzes inspection reports, location, risk, credit reports, and additional information to accept, decline, or renew an application. Utilizes and follows underwriting guidelines, rules, and standards. Determines appropriate premium rates and issues coverage. Provides customer services regarding underwriting processes and decisions. Ensures compliance with all industry and governmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience. |
