| Requirements and Responsibilities For Insurance Claims Service Manager II |
| Manages the claims service function to ensure prompt, accurate, and high-quality service to claimants, policyholders, and providers. Oversees a team of supervisors and representatives responsible for responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting the claims process. Develops service standards, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. Monitors service levels, call volumes, and quality results to identify and address operational gaps. Resolves escalated complaints and complex service issues requiring management attention. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and service-level commitments. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
