| Requirements and Responsibilities For VP of Commercial Lending |
| Leads enterprise-level commercial lending strategy to drive growth, profitability, and risk management. Defines and executes the commercial lending vision, goals, and long-term portfolio strategies. Oversees directors and senior leaders responsible for commercial lending performance and risk management. Aligns commercial lending initiatives with corporate strategy, capital planning, and regulatory expectations. Evaluates market opportunities, competitive positioning, and portfolio performance to guide executive decisions. Represents the commercial lending function in regulatory, audit, and executive discussions. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Commercial Lending certification or licensure. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
