| Requirements and Responsibilities For Commercial Loan Manager |
| Manages commercial lending activities and staff to achieve lending objectives and manage risk. Oversees commercial loan officers, providing operational guidance and supporting business development and relationship management efforts. Reviews and approves credit recommendations within assigned authority and ensures adherence to lending policies. Monitors portfolio performance, risk ratings, and concentration limits to manage credit risk. Manages the maintenance and servicing of existing commercial loan portfolios. Partners with credit administration and senior leadership to support audits and regulatory examinations. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Commercial Lending certification or licensure. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
