Requirements and Responsibilities For Food Services Director - Higher Ed.
Directs and oversees all aspects of institutional food service and resources. Develops and maintains food service policies for all dining halls. Manages work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and is responsible for purchasing supplies. May also plan and coordinate special theme events. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
