| Requirements and Responsibilities For Commercial Loan Director |
| Directs commercial lending strategy and operations to drive sustainable growth and risk management. Establishes commercial lending objectives, policies, and portfolio strategies aligned with business goals. Ensures adherence to lending regulations, internal risk policies, and operating procedures. Oversees managers and lending teams to ensure consistent execution and performance. Evaluates portfolio performance, market trends, and credit risk to guide strategic decisions. Collaborates with senior leaders to align commercial lending objectives with overall organizational strategy. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Commercial Lending certification or licensure. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
