| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Provider Contracting |
| Provides leadership, oversight, and guidance to contracting activities for a healthcare provider network. Responsible for leading facility rate setting and contract development for hospitals and health systems within a provider network. Develops reporting standards to ensure consistent recording of contract data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Analyzes various rate scenarios to forecast and evaluate rate setting strategies, identify trends, and provide financial projections. Approves and finalizes contracts to ensure adherence to budget and spending objectives. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes/implements overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Typically requires 10+ years of progressive leadership experience. Has extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
