| Provides leadership, innovation, and oversight for the business intelligence function of an organization. Creates, implements, and executes strategic plans and goals. Leads and oversees the maintenance and optimization of processes. Collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives. Ensures processes and procedures align with industry best practices. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the business intelligence industry. Typically requires a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.
