| Requirements and Responsibilities For Provider Onboarding Specialist II |
| Responsible for managing the onboarding and integration of new healthcare providers (doctors, clinicians, facilities) into an insurance network or health system. Acts as the primary liaison, coordinating credentialing, contracting, and compliance to ensure providers can legally and efficiently begin treating patients and billing for services. Collects and verifies licenses, certifications, and other required information to ensure compliance with state regulations and payer requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
