| Requirements and Responsibilities For Nuclear Medicine Supervisor |
| Supervises and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies and therapeutic treatments. Guides the creation and enhancement of diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radiopharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance. Ensures proper usage, maintenance and updates of medical equipment. May require a bachelor's degree. Requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine. Requires Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
