| Requirements and Responsibilities For Environmental Remediation Specialist IV |
| Supports the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites to ensure cleanup activities meet environmental regulations and project objectives. Conducts and oversees field activities, including soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling, site characterization, and remediation system monitoring. Reviews and interprets analytical data, and prepares technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals. Monitors the performance of consultants and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Tracks project costs, permits, and compliance obligations, and maintains project records and databases. Coordinates with regulatory agencies, property owners, and internal stakeholders on site activities and project status. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience. |
