| Requirements and Responsibilities For Emergency Response Planning Specialist V |
| Develops and maintains emergency response and preparedness plans to ensure the organization can respond effectively to potential hazards and incidents. Conducts hazard identification, vulnerability, and risk assessments to inform emergency plans and preparedness priorities. Writes, reviews, and updates emergency response plans, procedures, and contact directories in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Designs and facilitates tabletop and functional exercises, and documents after-action reports and improvement plans. Coordinates with operations, safety, security, and external agencies to align plans and response capabilities. Tracks regulatory changes and plan review cycles to maintain compliance and readiness. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience. |
