| Requirements and Responsibilities For Electric Distribution Construction Technician IV |
| Performs skilled construction, installation, and maintenance work on electric distribution systems, substations, and power station equipment. Installs, connects, and tests distribution components, including transformers, conductors, switches, and related hardware. Operates tools, equipment, and vehicles required to complete overhead and underground construction tasks. Follows established safety procedures, work plans, and utility specifications to ensure quality and compliance. Inspects installed equipment and identifies defects or hazards requiring correction. Documents completed work and reports field conditions to the supervisor. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience. |
