| Requirements and Responsibilities For Chemical Plant Operations Supervisor |
| Supervises operators of chemical processing equipment and monitors the production processes to ensure efficient and safe output. Adheres to standard operating procedures (SOP) and conducts required in process quality checks to identify and resolve issues during processing. Guides and assists with troubleshooting and resolution of problems with equipment. Reviews production data logs and metrics. Schedules staff and resources that will meet production targets and standards. Ensures all safety policies, procedures, and training requirements are followed. Coaches team for top performance and resolves conflicts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
